Food Photography

Recently I was approached about an interesting opportunity to support an organization called Kids and Cultures with a local foodie project called Taste the World (Lancaster) where people can buy a passport and visit local multicultural restaurants and try some of their food. They have a great Facebook page and if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that I’ve been posting some of those pictures and that is because I got tapped to take the pictures.Lonely_Mug

Manna Pan Asian Fusion

A couple weeks ago was my birthday (as you may have noticed from my birthday posts) and we went to Manna Pan Asian Fusion with my family. Being fairly new in the area I decided to take to the internet and found that Manna has great reviews. It was a slow Friday afternoon so I was a little concerned that service might be off, but as soon we got there the waitress showed up to take our drink orders. I decided to try out the Tai Sweet Tea.

Fantastic Meals Both Home and Out

Hello everyone! I feel like I missed a post but I’m not sure what happened there. This Morning The Housewife Wannabe was kind enough to open up her blog and have me guest write a blog post on her site (you can read it here). As for me, it’s been an exciting time! We got published in Publinews, here’s the front page.Aaaaand that’s me stuffing my face with delicious mango. Yeah, that’s some good fruit! Continue reading

Cooking In and Eating Out

This week has been an interesting one for meals. We tried some new things at Café Saúl, had some AMAZING pizza and dug in at Pans & Company. So let’s start if off with our visit to one of our favorite places, Café Saúl. Check out the insane Campari Soda lightshades. One of the things I like is seeing how they use non-decorative items to make something new!

And the Cooking Begins

So as I mentioned a few days ago, we decided to start cooking more and eating out less. So I’ve really started having a chance to cook a lot more than I had. With that in mind I took my Christmas gift certificate from my SIL Katherine and took a look around House & Green for some new stuff for my kitchen.  Continue reading

NY Strip Steak

So we’re back! We had a wonderful vacation where we got to see my parents and travel around a bit as well as visit friends and have an amazing time! Here’s a picture of us finally all together after about two years. Continue reading

Saúl Farmers Market

First of all I would like to apologize for the delay. I know it’s been over a week since the last post. Unfortunately I ran out of space on my hard drive! It’s been a while that I’d been on the verge of it happening but with all the pictures I’m taking with my new camera, it was only a matter of time. But now we’re back up and running (for now) thanks to my wife’s external hard drive which has freed up enough space to download the pictures!

La Taberna Culinaria

Last weekend we had our first visit to this great little place called La Taberna Culinaria which translates to The Culinary Tavern. When you first walk in you are greeted by a blackboard with the specials written in chalk. Things like Duck with orange and cinnamon, Octopus and Mango, Steak Tartare and a variety of interesting pizzas woke our curiosity.

Specials at Taberna Culinaria Continue reading
